Job Purpose: The Senior Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for managing the bank’s monthly financial reporting processes, preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, regulatory reporting in line with central bank guidelines, group reporting and other regulatory requirements and fixed assets management. Ensure that robust controls are maintained around the internal models to provide assurance on the accuracy and completeness of the bank’s financial statements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other Standards on reporting.
  • Regulatory reporting (weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and other information required.
  • Finance Models – Impairment model, EIR model, Fair value of loans, deposits and borrowings.
  • Accuracy and completeness in reporting the fixed asset register information.
  • External reporting requirements e.g. lenders report and covenant tracking.
  • Leadership over month end reporting process across the bank.
  • Oversight management of the Dormant Accounts.
  • Scanning regulatory environment for regulatory changes, preparing an impact analysis that provide insights for decision making.
  • Embedding data controls verifying the integrity of reports with the General Ledger and underlying transaction processing systems including daily review of oracle and Core Banking financials data for completeness and integrity.
  • Preparation of KCB Group monthly and Quarterly financial performance returns and flash reports.
  • Preparation of The Bank’s Annual report and report on sustainability.

 

  • Review the Financial reports and any work done by the team members and provide them guidance in line with the Bank’s and group strategy.
  • Engage key internal and external stakeholders within the bank and at the Group level.
  • Conduct the analytical review of the Financials of the Bank.

Educational qualifications and work experience:

  • Bachelor of Finance or a Business-Related Field.
  • Professional Qualifications- ACCA, CPA.
  • Master’s degree in finance is an Added Advantage.
