Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) Overview

The Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) has the mandate to promote good governance principles and monitor service delivery across public and private sector institutions as well as Civil Society Organizations. RGB is also responsible to conduct research on governance; to preserve and protect Home-Grown Solutions; to register and monitor civil society organisastions, faith-based organisastions and political organisastions; to promote media sector and advise the government on its functioning as well as coordinating the activities of the Joint Action Development Forum.

1. Job Title:  Media Sector Monitoring Specialist

Job responsibilities

  • Monitor the implementation of the media policy by relevant institutions;

  • M&E of the implementation of media reforms;

  • Produce regular reports on media development;

  • Supervise the RMB production process;

  • Monitor Media Policy Implementation and Advocacy;

  • Organize Annual Media Dialogues for media stakeholders;

  • Plan and follow up Media Reforms awareness campaigns;

  • Produce policy briefs on media development;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Journalism, Development Studies,  Political Sciences, Governance Studies, Mass Media, Mass Communication, Business Communication, Linguistics, Governance and Leadership with 3 Years of relevant experience

  • Master's Degree in Journalism, Economics, Development Studies, Political Sciences, Governance and Leadership, Governance Studies, Mass Media, Mass Communication, Business Communication, Linguistics with 1 Years of relevant experience

2. Job Title: Innovation HGS Research Specialist

Job responsibilities

  • Carry out research in different domains of Innovation and HGS;

  • Contribute to the research design and field studies in relation to Innovation and HGS;

  • Propose policy reforms regarding different domains of Innovation and HGS;

  • Prepare and present findings of Innovation and HGS research;

  • Conduct regular needs assessment and recommend priority areas of improvement and deeper research;

  • Ensure effective and quality control of research;

  • Conduct dissemination of RGB research findings;

  • Organize and conduct policy dialogues and conferences on Innovation and HGS;

  • Carryout any other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Law, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Public Administration, Applied Statistics, Governance and Leadership, Governance Studies, Administrative Science, Political Sciences with 1 Years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Applied Statistics, Political Sciences, Governance Studies, Governance and Leadership, Public Policy, International Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Administrative Sciences with 3 Years of relevant experience

3. Job Title: Secretary to Central Secretariat

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate the central secretariat

  • Ensure proper reception and dispatching of correspondences.

  • Ensure timely distribution of all Incoming/outgoing mail

  • Filing of documents and correspondences;

  • Write and submit regular monthly and quarterly reports of the central secretariat.

  • Organize and control the typing works submitted to the central secretariat.

  • Allocate documents submitted to the central secretariat for writing.

  • Control the quality of draft documents before sending them to the supervisor.

  • Organize the filing and archiving of records and documents.

  • Design the filing system.

  • Carry out on a daily basis the filing of processed documents.

  • Determine documents to be submitted to the national archiving services
