The National Bank of Rwanda (NBR) was established in 1964 with the aim of issuing the Rwandan currency named Franc Rwandais (Frw). Over the years, the role of the NBR has evolved. The current Law N°48/2017 of 23/09/2017 as amended to date, confers a clear mandate on the NBR with a mission of ensuring price stability and a sound financial system. Price stability is achieved by conducting appropriate monetary policy in the interest of a stable macroeconomic environment, while financial stability is achieved by regulating and supervising the financial system.
The National Bank of Rwanda is seeking to recruit a skilled Product Designer to join its Digital Development team. The selected candidate will play a critical role in defining the user experience, interface design, and overall product strategy to create world-class digital solutions meeting user needs while aligning with the Bank’s business goals.
Conduct in-depth user-research, interviews, and usability testing to understand user behavior, pain points, and expectations.
Designing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that align with business goals and enhance user experience
Establish and maintain design consistency through style guides, design systems, ensuring seamless user experience across all digital platforms of the Bank
Collaborate with engineers, vendors and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into design solutions
Ensure that all designs meet accessibility standards and industry best practices
Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to push the boundaries of software product design.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in product design, UI/UX, or interaction design, or any other similar role.
